The Social and Cultural Affairs Committee (SCAC) conducted a virtual consultation meeting with the stakeholders of Sarpang Dzongkhag in the morning on suicide and mental health issues. 

In the interactive virtual meeting, 50 participants from the Dzongkhag, Thromde, Drungkhag, RBP, Schools and hospitals reported the plans and programmes that they have initiated and shared some of the challenges encountered while responding to the various challenges in the education and health sectors.

In the afternoon, the committee also held a meeting with two Civil Society Organizations - the Royal Society for Senior Citizens and Nazhoen Lamtoen. They shared the current scenario of the challenges the elderly faces and also how children in difficult circumstances and children who come into conflict in the law.
