The Human Resource Division (HRD), MoENR is pleased to announce 2 postgraduate scholarship slots for the Master's Programme in Mountain Forestry at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna (BOKU) for October 2026 intake, for a duration of 2 years, fully funded by Capacity Development in Bhutan's Forestry Sector (CAPFOR) Project.

Requirement:
- Applicants holding an undergraduate degree in Forestry, Environmental Science, or other relevant natural science disciplines from an accredited university are eligible to apply. Applicants who do not fully meet the required academic prerequisites may be required to undertake additional coursework to bridge identified knowledge gaps.
- In addition, applicants must demonstrate English language proficiency at a minimum B2
level in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages
(CEFR)/ possess an English language proficiency certificate issued by BCSEA.

Stage 1: Initial Screening
For initial screening, the interested applicants are required to submit the following documents for
preliminary assessment and validation of eligibility:
1. Updated Curriculum Vitae (CV)
2. Attested Degree Certificate
3. English language proficiency certificate issued by BCSEA

Stage II: Final Selection
Shortlisted applicants shall be required to submit the following additional documents for final
assessment and nomination:

1. Completed application form
2. Attested academic transcript for each academic year

3. Attested abstract of the thesis/dissertation proposal (maximum one page)
4. Valid Medical Certificate
5. Four recent passport-sized photographs
6. LTT nomination form and checklist

Important Note: Interested civil servants are required to meet the long-term training eligibility
criteria prescribed under the BCSR 2023 as follows:

- Avail studies that are relevant to his work and his position level and lead to greater
specialisation.
- Be 45 years of age or below at the time of commencement of the LTT.
- Not be allowed to pursue more than one LTT of the same level/degree.
- Meet the training gap requirement as per Section 7.5.2.
- Have served a minimum of two years of active service excluding the probation period, at the time of commencement ofthe course for civil servants selected through BCSE.
- Have a Bachelor's degree and be selected through BCSE or in PMC level with
- Bachelor's degree to be eligible for pursuing postgraduate degree.
