Coming July 2021, College of Language and Culture Studies under the Royal University of Bhutan (RUB) will offer one new programmes, namely Bachelors in Dzongkha and Culture Studies. The programmes were recently validated by the University from 24 – 27 February 2021.
Our four years programme aims to prepare follows;
སློབ་སྦྱོང་ལས་རིམ་འདི་གཙོ་བོ་ དེང་དུས་ཀྱི་སློབ་སྟོན་ཐབས་ལམ་ཐོག་ལས་ རང་ལུགས་ཀྱི་རིག་གཞུང་དང་ ལམ་སྲོལ་གྱི་ ཤེས་ཡོན་དང་རིག་རྩལ་སྤྲོད་ཐབས་ལུ་ཨིན། ལས་རིམ་འདི་ནང་ རྫོང་ཁ་དང་ཆོས་སྐད་ཀྱི་རིག་གཞུང་དང་ རང་ལུགས་མཐུན་མོང་མིན་པའི་ སྒྲིག་ལམ་དང་ གླུ་གཞས་དང་སྙན་ཆའི་ལམ་སྲོལ་ཚུ་ དཔྱད་ཞིབ་ཀྱི་ཐོག་ལས་སློབ་སྦྱོང་འབད་ཚུགས་པའི་ཁར་ དེང་དུས་ཀྱི་ གློག་རིག འབྲི་རྩལ་དང་ ཞིབ་འཚོལ་འབད་ཐངས་ཚུ་སྦྱོང་བརྩོན་འབད་ཚུགས། དེ་ལུ་བརྟེན་ སློབ་ཕྲུག་ཚུ་གིས་ རིག་གཞུང་དང་ལམ་སྲོལ་ཚུ་ བརྡ་སྤྲོད་དང་འཛིན་སྐྱོང་འབད་ཚུགསཔ་མ་ཚད་བརྩི་མཐོང་དང་ཤ་ཞེན་ལ་སོགས་པའི་བསམ་སྤྱོད་རྣམ་དག་གི་ཐོག་ལས་ ཤེས་ཡོན་དང་རིག་རྩལ་ཚུ་ལག་ལེན་འཐབ་ཚུགས།
The College will be admitting 80 students on full scholarship. Only Language and Culture students with English in class XII will be eligible. It is four years undergraduates’ degree programme and duration to four years will ensure greater level of maturity of graduates as they enter the world of work. As part of the tertiary education reform, the Royal University of Bhutan’ will offer all new undergraduate programmes as four-years, while existing three-year programmes will be revised into four years during the programme review period.
