The Royal Thimphu College is pleased to announce the recruitment of faculty for the upcoming Spring Semester, 2027. We warmly invite applications from qualified and highly motivated professionals (Bhutanese or foreign nationals) for the following positions, available on a full-time (FT) or part-time (PT) basis.

Terms and Conditions for Faculty Positions

1The Institute has a categorization of faculty (ranging from Associate Lecturer to Senior Professor/Clinical Professor) depending on qualification and teaching experience, as per the BMHC Regulation, 2021.
2The salary package for full-time faculty will be commensurate with qualification, experience and the teaching workload assigned. The College will also provide a framework for faculty to carry out consulting work and research. Appropriate remuneration will be made for part-time teaching engagements.
3All faculty members shall undergo pedagogical training prior to induction and refresher training at least once every four years, as required by the Council.
4Limited numbers of houses are available on campus. Housing preference will be given to the expatriates.
5All other terms and conditions will be as per the Institute's Service Manual and the contract agreement signed after selection.

The application should include the following:

A cover letter indicating your teaching interest.
Curriculum Vitae/Resume that contains contact details (such as address, e-mail, fax, phone/mobile numbers), education qualification, employment history, research and publication, and other relevant information.
Photocopies of Class X, XII, undergraduate and postgraduate degree certificates and mark sheets.
Copy of Identity card/Citizenship card/Passport.
Two reference letters including at least one from a former employer or academic mentor. In case these are not available, the names and contact details of at least two referees who can be contacted should be provided.
