The Royal Thimphu College is pleased to announce faculty openings across multiple disciplines for the upcoming Spring Semester, starting in February 2027. We warmly invite applications from qualified and highly motivated professionals (Bhutanese or foreign nationals) for the following positions, available on a full-time (FT) or part-time (PT) basis.

BSc in Applied Computing and Information Technology (ACIT)
Computer Science / Software Development	Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field	Preference will be given to candidates with specialization, teaching, research, or professional experience in Web Development, Front-end and Back-end Development, Mobile Application Development, Cloud Computing, DevOps, Software Architecture, and Full-Stack Development.	1 (Full-Time)
Computer Science	Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, or related field	Preference will be given to candidates with specialization, teaching, research, or professional experience in Cybersecurity, Computer Networks, Operating Systems, System Administration, Computer Organization & Architecture, and Digital Logic.	1 (Full-Time)
Information Systems / HCI	Master’s degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, HCI, or related field	Preference will be given to candidates with specialization, teaching, research, or professional experience in Information Systems, Enterprise Systems, Human-Computer Interaction, UX/UI, IT Project Management, Digital Transformation, and IT/AI Ethics.	1 (Full-Time)
Computer Science	Master’s degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, HCI, Software Engineering, Business Information Systems, or related field	Preference will be given to candidates with teaching, research, or professional experience in Blockchain Technology, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, IoT, Emerging Technologies, IT Laws, AI Ethics and Governance, Cybersecurity, Data Privacy, and Responsible Computing. Research interests in applied AI/ML, blockchain applications, IoT, responsible AI, AI governance, cybersecurity and privacy, technology regulation, and emerging technology policy will be an advantage. Experience in student project development, industry-linked projects, research supervision, and Capstone Project supervision is highly desirable.	1 (Full-Time)

Terms and Conditions for Faculty Positions

The Institute has a categorization of faculty (ranging from Assistant Lecturer to Professor/Clinical Professor) depending on qualification and teaching experience, as per the BMHC Regulation, 2021.
The salary package for full-time faculty will be commensurate with qualification, experience and the teaching workload assigned.
All faculty members shall undergo pedagogical training prior to induction and refresher training at least once every four years, as required by the Council.
All other terms and conditions will be as per the Institute's Service Manual and the contract agreement signed after selection.

The applications should include the following:

A cover letter indicating your teaching & AI interest.
A Curriculum Vitae/Resume that contains contact details (such as address, e-mail, phone/mobile numbers), education qualification, employment history, research and publications, and other relevant information.
Photocopies of Class X, XII, undergraduate and postgraduate degree certificates and mark sheets.
Copy of Identity card/Citizenship card/Passport.
A valid BMHC registration certificate for Bhutanese and a Medical practitioner registration certificate for foreigners, or proof of eligibility for registration (This is applicable only to Nursing faculty)
Two reference letters, including at least one from a former employer or academic mentor. If unavailable, the names and contact details of at least two referees who can be contacted should be provided.
