What will you be working on? You will be responsible for the safe and timely operation of official light vehicles in support of day-to-day administrative, technical, and field operations. Your duties will include transporting officials, staff, and visitors for official meetings, field visits, and inspections; ferrying essential goods, samples, medicines, or equipment as required by the office; and ensuring the vehicle is kept clean, roadworthy, and properly maintained, including timely servicing, minor repairs, and reporting of mechanical issues. You will be expected to maintain accurate vehicle log books, fuel records, and trip reports, adhere strictly to traffic rules and road safety practices, and remain available for urgent or after-hours trips, including emergencies (particularly critical for the DVH posting, where timely transport can be essential for veterinary emergencies). The role also involves basic vehicle security and safekeeping of assigned government property, and close coordination with the concerned Sector for scheduling and trip planning.

What we are looking for? We are looking for a responsible and reliable individual holding a valid Light Motor Vehicle driving license, with sound knowledge of traffic rules, road safety practices, and basic vehicle maintenance. Candidates should be willing to travel extensively within and outside the Dzongkhag as required, possess basic communication skills for coordinating with office staff, and demonstrate discipline, honesty, and a service-oriented attitude. Familiarity with the local terrain and roads, as well as basic troubleshooting skills for minor vehicle issues, will be an added advantage.
