Royal Society for Senior Citizens is pleased to announce the vacancy for the following posts:

1. Health Assistant or Nurse: 1

(1) Retiree below the age of 65 years.
(2) Duration 2 Years.

ToRs of HA/Nurse

A home/community based long term care pilot for the elderly involving voluntary/ paid caregivers with institutional tie up with govt health services, nursing colleges and medical university is to be operationalised. One programme coordinator, one health assistant or nurse and two care givers, whom we will train, will be recruited with the following respective ToRs.

Overall Role:
Provide clinical support, training, and supervision to caregivers; ensure health needs of elderly clients are addressed in coordination with health facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Clinical Care

Conduct baseline and periodic health assessments of elderly clients.
Provide basic nursing care, first aid, and chronic disease monitoring (BP, glucose, etc.).
Refer and facilitate access to higher-level medical services as needed.

Support & Training

Train and mentor caregivers in hygiene, nutrition, mobility assistance, medication adherence, and infection prevention.
Develop individualized care plans with input from caregivers and families.

Coordination

Liaise with government health centers, hospitals, and medical faculty for specialist input.
Assist in integrating programme beneficiaries into existing health services.

Monitoring & Documentation

Maintain health records of beneficiaries.
Monitor quality and safety of care practices.
Provide regular reports to the Programme Coordinator.

Qualifications & Skills:

Diploma/Degree in Nursing or Health Assistant course.
Registered with relevant professional council.
Clinical experience with elderly/chronic patients preferred.
Skills in patient education.
