This CA MIGHT BE THE LAST and it is mandatory to complete for your license renewal.

With vide to the notification no DOTr/SCD-17/2025-2026/5681 sent by the Department of Tourism (DoT) dated September 24, 2025; the Guide Association of Bhutan (GAB) has been sanctioned to conduct the competency assessment. In this regards, we would like to send this notification to those in-country tourist guides who have missed the previous competency assessment to kindly register with the link given with this notification. The fee for the competency assessment is Nu. 2000/- (Ngultrum Two Thousand only) per candidates including the drug test.

The online (Google form) registration will record the registration on first come first served basis and the assessment will be conducted accordingly. However, those candidates who have already registered with GAB need not register again.

The registration date for the Competency Assessment will start from November 18, 2025 and it will be closed on November 24, 2025. And the assessment will begin from November 25, 2025 onwards.

While registering, individual along with their details need to attach proof of their fee transfer – only then the registration will be recorded.

Following the registration, individuals will be notified on venue for the competency assessment. It is important to know that should a candidate fail to sit for the competency assessment on SPECIFIED DATE the fee will be forfeited.
