Position Title:    Director

Position Level:    EX3 A

Minimum Qualification required:  Minimum Bachelor’s Degree (relevant)

Key responsibilities are to:

1. Provide strategic direction to the Authority and its Councils in achieving its Mandates and Objectives.
2. Provide leadership role and guidance in developing Standards, Regulations, Guidelines and other Technical Documents related to the Qualifications and    Quality Assurance System.
3. Provide leadership role and guidance in developing Standards, Regulations, Guidelines and other Technical Documents related to the Qualifications and Quality Assurance System.
4. Provide leadership role and guidance in developing Standards, Regulations, Guidelines and other Technical Documents related to the regulation of Medical and Health Professionals.
5. Provide leadership role and guidance in developing Standards, Regulations, Guidelines and other Technical Documents related to the regulation of Engineering Professionals.
6. Provide leadership role and direction in regulating the quality of TVET system in the country.
7. Provide a leadership role and direction in regulating the quality of Higher Education in the country.
8. Provide leadership role and direction in regulation of the Education Consultancy and Placement Firms in the country.
9. Take a lead role in developing a BQPCA Bill.

 Who can apply? 

1. P1 Management Civil servants with relevant experience and qualifications.
2. Civil servants in specialist categories with experience in working in  certification, and assessment framework.

Service conditions:

1. A specialist selected as the executive will serve for the duration of 5 years extendable by another term of 3 years based on performance. They will revert back to their technical agency/field on completion of the term.
