The Royal Civil Service Commission is pleased to announce the availability of scholarships (up to 5 slots) to study Master’s degree at the Chulabhorn Graduate Institute (CGI) in Bangkok, Thailand for the academic year 2024 as detailed below:
1. Fields of study:
A. Environmental Health;
B. Environmental Toxicology; and
C. Chemical Science

2. CGI’s Eligibility criteria
2.1. Applicants under 30 years of age;
2.2. Hold a Bachelor’s Degree with a cumulative GPA of at least 2.75 in one of the following fields:
a. Sciences: Chemistry, Biology, Biological Sciences, Molecular Biology, Environmental Sciences;
b. Medical Sciences: Medicine, Medical Technology; and
c. Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Sciences
2.3. Have experience in scientific laboratory research;
2.4. Applicants must have demonstrated English proficiency, preferably on one of the two recognized tests of language proficiency (TOEFL, IELTS); and
2.5. Applicants must provide a statement of purpose explaining their interests in the study.

3. Additional Eligibility Criteria
3.1. Civil Servants applying for this scholarship must fulfill all relevant criteria prescribed in BCSR 2018, in
addition to CGI’s criteria; and
3.2. Applicants outside the civil service (Corporate, and Private Sector, NGO, etc.) must fulfill all relevant
criteria prescribed by the Department of Workforce Planning and Skills Development, Ministry of Education, and Skills Development in addition to CGI’s criteria.

4. Scholarship coverage by CGI
A. Round trip airfare;
B. Initial settlement allowance;
C. Tuition and other academic fees;
D. Accommodation;
E. Monthly stipend;
F. Book allowance;
G. Health insurance; and
H. Others

5. Required Documents
A. Application Form (attach supporting documents) and
B. LTT Review Checklist duly signed by agency HRO:

6. Application Procedure:
6.1. Civil servants must submit original documents (hard copies) to HRDD, RCSC through the respective parent
agencies to ensure relevance and eligibility;
6.2. Non-civil servants must submit original documents (hard copies) to HRDD, RCSC through the Ministry of
Education and Skills Development (the Ministry will ensure relevance and eligibility); and
6.3. Only the top 5 candidates, based on merit, shall be nominated for the scholarship. Nominated candidates
shall be contacted by the HRDD, RCSC and informed about the remaining application procedure.

7. Deadline
The deadline for submission of Applications to HRDD, RCSC is 17-Oct-2023. Interested candidates must, therefore, submit the applications to their respective parent agencies prior to 17-Oct-2023, giving the parent agencies time to review the applications for onward submission to the HRDD, and RCSC within the deadline.

8. Selection
8.1. The selection of the applicants will be based on merit and successful applicants will be notified by the CGI,
Thailand around January 2024; and Civil servants who are selected for the scholarship should submit the
study leave proposal to their respective parent agencies and process through ZESt for approval.

9. General Information
9.1. Kindly note that this scholarship is provided by CGI and all scholarship entitlements are confined to those specified in this announcement. Therefore, no additional financial benefits from the RGoB shall be admissible to candidates under this scholarship.
9.2. The scholarship Award will cover 6 weeks of refresher courses, followed by 2 years of Master’s degree, subject to an annual review of the scholar’s satisfactory progress. Refresher courses will tentatively commence in June 2024 while the academic program will commence in August 2024.
9.3. No consideration shall be given to applications with incomplete supporting documents.
