To the Management of Kathok Yoesel Samtenling Monastery at Byelangdra and Wangduephodrang Dzongdag, Superintendent of Police, Chief Medical Officer and the Gup of Kashi Gewog:
The National Assembly of Bhutan wants to thank you all. We just do not know where to begin and how to express our gratitude for the timely and valuable assistance provided to our Honourable MP Choida (late) and to his two companions. We understand that our colleague MP could not give adequate time to you all to save his life. However, had it not been for your timely assistance, the other two companions would have succumbed to the fateful night.
We understand how difficult it would have been to venture a midnight journey up the steep hill and through the dark forest and that too on a rainy night. You had also exposed yourself to the risk of possible attacks from wild animals. However, the compassion and commitment you all had overwhelmed the difficulties to reach the disaster spot right in time, in time to evacuate and save the lives of the two companions. This is extremely remarkable.
The support, we believe has been outpouring - the direction from the Dzongdag and his being personally there, security support by Superintendent of Police and his team to the medical staff and their presence also means security to everyone, emergency medical support by the lady doctor and her team, mobilization of the local human resource support by the Gup, the breakfast and lunch from the monastery to all the people traveled to the site. We believe every possible support on earth has been heightened to facilitate the evacuation of the two life threatened sick companions of our late MP and the evacuation of the remains of the late MP himself to Thimphu.
Thus, the reason for having difficulties to express our gratitude in case they fall short of the minimum requirement. Well, to get out of inadequacies, a simple and modest attempt would be to thank His Holiness Kathok Situ Rinpoche, Dzongdag, Superintendent of Police, Chief Medical Officer, Gup and the people with you for the timely support.
We thank you all.
