Subject: Invitation to the Awareness and Training of Safety Committee for Construction firms during the World Safety Day

Dear Sir/Madam,

Subsequent to the resolution committed during the Safety Forum conducted last year on January 31st, 2020, the Construction Development Board in collaboration with the Ministry of Labour and Human Resources is celebrating the World Safety Day with a half- day Awareness and Training Program for the Establishment of Safety Committees for Construction Firms on 28th April 2021.

The following program and related activities is planned fro the same:

1. MoLHR: Resources, process and associated Rules and Regulations for establishment of Safety Commitee in Construction Firms:
2.  JICA Bhutan: Awareness and current scenario of OHS in Construction sector of Bhutan
3. MoWHS: OHS billing, implementation and enforcement in projects under MoWHS
4. CDB: Monitoring of Project Sites

The awareness and training program will be a precursor to the training of safety officers from construction firms which will be conducted in late May or early June 2021.

The program schedule and venue will be shared on confirmation of participation. The venue will depend on the response of participants. Please be informed that the COVID-19 Task Force Thimphu allows only 25 people for mass gatherings. Response beyond this number will indicate the program will be conducted online.
