The Bhutan Ecological Society (BES) and the Ugyen Wangchuck Institute for Conservation and Environmental Research seeks nominations for the 7th Jigme Singye Wangchuck Outstanding Environmental Stewardship Award (JSW-OESA)

The Bhutan Ecological Society (BES) and the Ugyen Wangchuck Institute for Conservation and Environmental Research seeks nominations for the 7th Jigme Singye Wangchuck Outstanding Environmental Stewardship Award (JSW-OESA). This award honours individuals, groups, and institutions from all disciplines who have dedicated themselves towards ensuring the security and sustainability of Bhutan’s pristine environment. The JSW-OESA particularly merits people who have gone beyond the normal call-of-duty in their services towards environmental protection. It is conferred as a homage to His Majesty the Fourth Druk Gyalpo’s selfless service and farsighted leadership. Hence, The 7th JSW-OESA will be conferred on 11th November 2022, coinciding his majesty’s Birth Anniversary and the Annual Research Symposium of BES.
