The Ministry of Information and Communications (MoIC) and the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MoEA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Delegation of power to formulate/amend the Rules and Regulations for the Places of Entertainment on 14th October 2021.


The MoU was signed by the Hon’ble Secretary, MoIC, and Officiating Secretary, MoEA, Mr.Tandin Tshewang.


The main purpose of the MoU is to delegate the power conferred to MoIC on formulation/amendments of the Rules and Regulations governing the places of Entertainment by the Information, Communications and Media Act 2018 to the MoEA, in line with the directives of the Lhengye Zhungtshog conveyed vide letter C-3/102/2021/1069 dated 15th September 2021.
