Hon’ble Minister of Information and Communications participated in the ministerial roundtable meeting programme as a panelist organized by ITU to mark the 50th anniversary edition of ITU Telecom events “ITU Digital World 2021”. The virtual event which takes place from 12th to 14th October 2021 is dedicated to the policy discussions that will serve as a basis to continue the funding and facilitation of digital transformation.
In line with the theme of the event (Building the digital world. Together), the Hon’ble Minister shared his insights and experiences in the areas of “Boosting infrastructure: rethinking the role of government in digital transformation” as part of an influential, international dialogue.
The event which takes place online from September to December 2021, focuses on bringing the public and private sector together through partnerships and business opportunities to grow the industry and bring the benefits of connectivity to as many people as possible. As a UN agency, it offers powerful platform to discuss the challenges and opportunities of the ICT industry, supporting the most forward-looking, sustainable, and equitable ideas to serve all of humanity – and the planet.
