The newly elected President of the Bhutan Chamber of Commerce & Industry (BCCI), Mr. Tandin Wangchuk made a courtesy call on the Hon’ble Lyonchen Dasho (Dr.) Lotay Tshering at the Gyalyong Tshogkhang on 13 Sept 2021. Hon’ble Lyonchen, while congratulating the BCCI President on his election, emphasized that ‘striking good understanding between the Government and the private sector is the most crucial element’ and consultations to redesign mechanism to work together must receive priority.

The BCCI President, while thanking the Hon’ble Lyonchen for kindly sparing his time to meet him highlighted on two critical issues that the current team of office bearers wishes to pursue – Chamber’s legal statute and its long-term financial sustainability. He shared the aspirations of the BCCI to consult, be guided and work closely with the Royal Government in pursuing relevant programs for economic recovery and, solicited for support of the Hon’ble Lyonchen to the BCCI in pursuing such programs.
