The United States Agency for International Development (USAID), through Save the Children – Bhutan Country Office and Family Health International 360 (FHI 360), donated 100,000 gloves and about 7,000 gowns to the Ministry of Health, Royal Government of Bhutan.The PPEs were handed over to the Chief Procurement Officer of the MedicalSupplies Procurement Division of the MoH on5 August 2021. The USAID is also supporting the Critical Care and Ventilator Technical Assistance (TA) Project to strengthen capacity on critical care and COVID-19 case management, use and repair of ventilators, and to develop COVID-19 equipment tracking system. The Technical Assistanceproject launched in February 2021 is implemented by Save the Children – Bhutan Country Office in partnership with the Ministry of Health, Royal Government of Bhutan, and the FHI 360 is providing technical support and guidance. FHI 360 is a US-based nonprofit international development organization.
