In accordance with the approval from the Royal Civil Service Commission in June 2021, the Ministry of Education would like to announce the vacancy for recruitment of 60 Substitute Teachers on consolidated contract in various subjects (refer to Annexure for vacancies Dzongkhag/Thromde wise).

Announcement for Substitute Teacher Recruitment 2021

In accordance with the approval from the Royal Civil Service Commission in June 2021, the Ministry of Education would like to announce the vacancy for recruitment of 60 Substitute Teachers on consolidated contract in various subjects (refer to Annexure for vacancies Dzongkhag/Thromde wise).

The important notes are given below.

1.1 B.Ed, and PGDE (self-funded) candidates and other University graduates are eligible to apply for the vacancies in the respective subject. They shall apply online using the e-Registration Form on or before 16th August 2021. This e-Registration Form shall be disabled on 16th August 2021 after 5.00 PM. The candidates who have not registered on or before the above deadline shall be disqualified.

1.2 The candidates with B.Ed., PGDE and teaching experience will be given addition weighting as appropriate.

1.3 The Ministry will validate the place of study/University/Colleges in respect of the applicants before short-listing through the Department of Adult and Higher Education, MoE and notify accordingly.

1.4 The Ministry will verify with the concerned authority for any adverse record. Should there be any adverse record in their name; the candidates shall be informed and disqualified from short-listing.

1.5 The shortlisted candidates will sit for the selection interview to be conducted by the Ministry. The details of short-listing will be available in the MoE website.

1.6 The selection result will be uploaded on the MoE website. The placement of selected candidates to respective Dzongkhags/Thromdes will be based on merit in the result of the selection interview subject wise.

1.7 The selected candidates will be appointed as Teacher III at P5C from September 2021 till 31st December 2021. Their contract will come to an end thereafter.

1.8 The selected candidates must undergo and pass the drug test to be conducted by the Ministry of Education. Those who do not pass the drug test shall be disqualified (and standby candidates will be contacted based on merit). The date for the drug test will be communicated after the selection result.

1.9 The candidates must furnish the No Objection Letter from the current employer, if employed. If the candidates fail to submit it and are found out to be employed at any point of time, their appointment shall be revoked with immediate effect. The candidates from any
Dratshang/Buddhist institutes must submit a clearance if their names are still registered with them.

1.10 If the candidate was compulsory retired or terminated from the civil service, he/she shall be disqualified for appointment.
