The Judiciary of Bhutan in collaboration with the De-suung Skilling Programme (DSP) and Jigme Singye Wangchuck School of Law, invites applications from eligible graduates ( Desuups) for the inaugural Graduate Diploma in Legal Studies (GDLS).

The Judiciary of Bhutan in collaboration with the De-suung Skilling Programme (DSP) and Jigme Singye Wangchuck School of Law, invites applications from eligible graduates ( Desuups) for the inaugural Graduate Diploma in Legal Studies (GDLS).

This one-year programme prepares the next generation of Law Clerks for the courts of Bhutan. The programme begins in August 2026, and successful graduates will be placed within the judicial system upon completion.

Eligibility

* Bachelor’s degree (minimum 60% aggregate) from a recognized institution.

* Class XII: Minimum 55% in Dzongkha, 55% in English, and 60% overall average.

Selection Process

Written examinations in English and Dzongkha, followed by an interview.

Key Dates

* 1 July: Applications open

* 15 July: Applications close

* 16 July: Shortlist announced

* 17 July: Written examinations

* 20 July: Interviews

* 24 July: Final results

* August 2026: Programme commences

HOW TO APPLY

1. Submit the Judiciary Employment Application Form (found on Judiciary website under

administrative forms).

2. Submit the following documents in hard copy to the Judiciary of Bhutan on or before 15

July 2026: Degree Certificate and academic transcript, Class XII academic transcript, CID

card copy, valid Online Security Clearance, Medical Certificate, and NOC and Audit

Clearance (if already employed).

3. Shortlisted candidates will be notified after each stage of the selection process. For further

information, contact the Human Resource Division, Supreme Court of Bhutan.

The admission schedule is tentative and shortlisted candidates will be notified through official channels.
