The Faculty of Postgraduate Medicine (FoPGM), Khesar Gyalpo University of Medical Sciences of Bhutan (KGUMSB) is pleased to announce the opening of applications to undergo a one-year internship program at Jigme Dorji Wangchuck National Referral Hospital (JDWNRH). 

Eligibility:

Candidates who have completed their final MBBS examination from colleges and institutes recognized by the Medical and Health Professionals Council (MHPC) under the Bhutan Qualifications and Professionals Certification Authority (BQPCA) under the Ministry of Education and Skills Development (MoESD).

Application Process:

Interested candidates are required to submit the applications with the following documents via the Intern Portal (www.fopgm.edu.bt/intern/registration) by 5:00PM on 15th June, 2025. Submission of the application after the given deadline will not be accepted.

Documents required:

1. Duly filled internship form
2. A copy of the MBBS transcript/Marksheet
3. A copy(s) of class X and XII transcript/Mark sheet
4. No Objection certificate from the parent institute
5. A Copy of the Citizenship ID card 
6. Forwarding letter from the Royal Civil Service Commission (RCSC) 

Application fee:

An application fee of Nu: 1000/- (non-refundable) for all the applicants shall be levied as per the approved fee structure of the University.  The fee shall be deposited into the University BoB account number 100891694, and upload the screenshot, along with the required documents, via the online intern portal to complete the application.

Requirements for selected candidates:

Candidates selected for the program shall pay the internship course fee of Nu: 10,000/-   as per the approved fee structure of the University and shall attend a mandatory 6-day orientation program, which also includes necessary life support training, before departmental posting commences in JDWNRH. Failing to attend the orientation program would result in the cancellation of the application. The orientation program will be scheduled from 17th June, 2026.
