- Job Description
Assist the Network Engineer and project team in the installation, testing, maintenance, and documentation of the city-wide fiber internet network for Thimphu, ensuring quality and timely execution of tasks.
- Roles and Responsibilities
- Assist in fiber optic cable installation, splicing, and termination.
- Support site surveys and preparation for fiber deployment.
- Work with the Network Engineer to implement technical plans.
- Operate and maintain fiber testing equipment.
- Conduct troubleshooting and minor repairs during installation.
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Maintain records of work performed and materials used.
- Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and suppliers on-site.
- Provide updates on progress and report issues to the Network Engineer.
- Requirements and Skills
- Experience in network or fiber installation (preferred).
- Basic knowledge of fiber optic systems and installation tools.
- Ability to read and follow technical diagrams and instructions.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Physically fit and able to work in the field.
- Willingness to travel within Thimphu project sites.
- Commitment to quality, safety, and deadlines.

- Remuneration and Benefits:
For Freshers
- Basic Pay: 14,500.00
- Corporate Allowance: Nu. 2,900.00
- Employer Provident Fund Contribution: 1,450.00
- Gross Pay: 18,850.00
For 1 – 3 Years Experienced
- Basic Pay: 14,680.00
- Corporate Allowance: Nu. 5,425.00
- Employer Provident Fund Contribution: 1,468.00
- Gross Pay: 21,573.00
For 3 – 5 Years Experienced
- Basic Pay: 16,550.00
- Corporate Allowance: Nu. 6,650.00
- Employer Provident Fund Contribution: 1,655.00
- Gross Pay: 24,855.00
All other Allowances as per the Service Rule Book of the Company.
- Documents required:
- CV of the applicant if any.
- Copies of academic certificates and transcripts (Minimum Class VIII) Experience Certificates, and training certificates if any.
- Copy of valid CID.
- Copy of valid Security Clearance Certificate.
- Copy of valid Medical Fitness Certificate.
- No Objection Certificate from the current employer, if employed. This can be submitted if selected only.
