The Global Environment Facility GEF Small Grants Programme, implemented by UNDP in partnership with the Royal Government of Bhutan would like to invite Civil Society Organization and Community-Based Organizations to submit proposal to develop the Community Development.

The Global Environment Facility GEF Small Grants Programme, implemented by UNDP in partnership with the Royal Government of Bhutan would like to invite Civil Society Organization and Community-Based Organizations to submit proposal to develop the Community Development and Knowledge Management for the Satoyama Initiative (COMDEKS) comprehensive strategy for enhancing sustainable development and resilience of highland communities in Bhutan.

At CBD COP15 in Montreal, December 2022, the Japan Ministry of Environment, Keidanren Committee on Nature Conservation, UNDP, and partners launched COMDEKS Phase 4. This phase focuses on expanding sustainable biodiversity management and livelihoods in socio-ecological landscapes. In Bhutan, it supports highland communities with sustainable practices, biodiversity enhancement, and community-led projects for improved livelihoods.

The deadline for the submission of proposals is 03.00 PM, 23rd August (Friday) 2024.
