NOTIFICATION
As per notification issued by the National Centre for Hydrology and Meteorology
(NCHM) on the likelihood of experiencing Cyclonic Storm YAAS in next 48 hours, The
Ministry of Health would like to notify all the Medical Superintendents, Chief Medical
Officers, District Health Officers to gear up emergency preparedness and response
measures accordingly.
Under the influence of the cyclone, Bhutan is expected to experience Moderate rain
with thunder and lightning over southern and isolated places of central parts of the
country.
Therefore all the concerned officials are cautioned to be vigilant and alert in case of
any health emergencies arising out of the cyclone. Please make sure the Emergency
Medical Teams are alerted and ambulances kept ready for deployment.
