Human Resource Development Division (HRDD), Royal Civil Service Commission (RCSC) is pleased to announce His Majesty's ECU Engineering and Cybersecurity scholarships for Gifted and Talented Bhutanese Students. The offer was received on 21-Mar-2024 by HRDD. There are four slots out of which two are for Cyber Security and two for Computer Systems. The scholarship includes full coverage of tuition fees as well as a single overseas student health cover (OSHC) for the applicant throughout the course. However, the students need to bear the expenses for their visa, travel, accommodation and living arrangements, along with any costs related to books, etc.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Applicant must be at least 18 years old at the time of application
• Applicant must be a citizen of Bhutan and must be residing in Bhutan at the time of application
• Have a minimum average of 75% in BHSEC 2023 with 60% each in English and three relevant subjects (excluding Dzongkha).
• Have a minimum of IELTS 6 overall, with no band less than 6; or achieve a minimum PTE score of 52, with no score less than 50.
• Should not have repeated class XII

Academic transcripts (Both class 10 and 12), Citizenship ID and English proficiency test scores

Visit www.citizenservices.gov.bt and follow ‘Education & Learning’ and then select ‘Application for Adhoc Scholarship’ to apply. The application should be submitted on or before 15 April 2024. HRDD will nominate the candidates based on academic ranking, however, the final confirmation is subject to approval from the university.

Note: These scholarship awardees will have to sign an undertaking with RCSC and commit to serving the RGoB for twice the length of the approved course duration.
