Many people have yet to shed the trauma of the earthquake that hit on 28 April causing damages to many structures. As if that wasn't enough, strong windstorm on the same day ripped off roofs of some 60 households in Zhemgang. With disasters as such only going to increase with the climate change, it is important for our people and structures be resilient and adapt to new changing environments.
To increase resiliency and help mitigate the consequences of disasters the ministry carries out studies, develops guidelines and enhance the technical capacities of our technical professionals and local skilled and unskilled workers in resilient construction techniques.
The guidelines can be downloaded from ministry's website.
