Caution Against Availing Health Services from Unauthorized Private Healthcare Clinics
The Ministry of Health is deeply concerned about the health and well-being of our citizens. It has come to our immediate attention that unauthorized private healthcare clinics, including dental clinics, have been operating within the country, particularly in Thimphu. We wish to caution the public against availing of any health services from such unauthorized establishments.
The Ministry is fully committed to providing our citizens with safe and effective healthcare. It is important to note that apart from a few private diagnostic centres, the ministry has not authorized any private healthcare clinics, including dental clinics, in the country. Even the approved diagnostic centres are limited to providing only diagnostic services prescribed by government medical professionals and are not authorized for medical consultation, prescription, and treatment of any diseases.
Unauthorized clinics may not adhere to the required standards, potentially jeopardizing the health and lives of those seeking treatment. The Ministry of Health shall not take responsibility for any untoward consequences to patients after availing health services from any unauthorized clinics. Therefore, to ensure the well-being of yourself and your loved ones, we urgently advise you to refrain from seeking healthcare services from any unauthorized private healthcare clinics or dental clinics.
If you come acrosS any suspicious or unauthorized clinics operating in your area, we earnestly request you to report immediately to us at or other relevant agencies. By working together, we can help maintain the integrity of our healthcare system and safeguard the well-being of our community.
Your cooperation and vigilance in this matter are greatly appreciated as we strive to ensure a safe and reliable healthcare environment for all citizens.
