The standing committees of the National Council elected its Chairpersons and Deputy Chairpersons according to the National Council Act of Kingdom of Bhutan 2008.

The Members of the different committees were constituted during the first plenary of the fourth National Council held on 15th May 2023.

Standing Committees of the National Council will examine any matter within the jurisdiction assigned to them by the House.
