UNICEF Bhutan would like to hire a competent national consultant to conduct an assessment on the End Violence Against Children (EVAC) campaign.
Qualification required:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in gender studies, behavioural sciences, public policy, statistics or related field.
- Working experience as team leader in at least five or more assessment, research and evaluation work.
- Proven knowledge or professional experience in assessment and evaluating community-engagement and social and behaviour change related works.
- Demonstrated capacity in providing training and facilitating workshops.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Collaborative mindset and professional ethics.
- Experience in conducting qualitative and quantitative research (report writing, documenting stories
- Experience in analyzing qualitative and quantitative information and data
- Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc.) and advanced knowledge of spreadsheet and database packages; and
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.

UNICEF Bhutan Country Office is seeking applications from interested youth to intern with the Health, Nutrition and WASH Programme and support with the implementation of Nutrition programme for a period of 6 months from August 2022 -January 2023.
Qualification required:
- A university degree preferably in Nutrition, Public Health, Epidemiology, Social Science, Medicine, Science, Chemistry or relevant field.
- Good interpersonal, networking and communication skills.
- Fluency in spoken and written English.
- Previous experience as a volunteer (studies, volunteer work, internship) would be desirable.
- Computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and social media).
- Ability to work effectively with people of different national and cultural background.
- Must be between 18 and 30 years for the whole duration of their assignment.

Qualification:
- An advanced university degree in medicine, public health, paediatrics, neonatology, Obs/Gyn or relevant field from a recognized university
- Practical experience in relevant fields may be considered in lieu of academic qualification in the country context
- Extensive knowledge of national maternal and newborn health policies, strategies, programme, and Bhutan health systems
- Demonstrated ability to analyse and synthesize information and draw conclusions
- Knowledge and skills in using the IT and statistical software
- Good analytical, writing and communication skills
- Ability to facilitate and guide high-level technical working groups
Experience:
Prior work experience in the following is needed:
- developing national strategies, guidelines, standards etc. on public health programme
- relevant programme reviews
- national health sector review, planning, and workshops
- facilitation of technical consultations
- programme management (planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation), especially related to newborn, maternal, child, sexual and reproductive health
- health research, socio-cultural research, epidemiological studies, maternal and newborn health research, situation and system analysis and assessments
- Programme management and implementation, especially related to Newborn, Maternal, child, Sexual and Reproductive health
