Our property is located in Olakha, a scenic five minute drive from the city centre and just off the main highway that serves as a gateway into the beautiful Thimphu valley. The facade of the hotel faces the glorious 177 foot Buddha Dordenma statue, the largest of its kind, built to honour the 60th anniversary of the Fourth King, His Majesty, Jigme Singye Wangchuck. Additionally, a 5 minute drive from the hotel is where the magnificent Simtokha Dzong is located. Built in 1629, the fortress is the first of its kind in the kingdom and is amongst the most impressive historical monuments in Bhutan.
