A rabies disease outbreak was reported from Samdrupling village, Gelegphu gewog, Sarpang dzongkhag on 29 April 2021.

A rabies disease outbreak was reported from Samdrupling village, Gelegphu gewog, Sarpang dzongkhag on 29 April 2021. The field report shared states that the outbreak has started on 24 April 2021, and a total of 2 adult dogs were affected. 5 dogs and a cat suspected to have exposed have been undergoing PEP and kept under observation. All other necessary prevention and control measures have been implemented in line with the National Rabies Prevention and Control Plan 2017.
