Role Description: 

This is a strategic leadership role responsible for the overall financial health and sustainability of Gangtey Lodge. The Finance Manager will oversee all accounting functions, financial planning and reporting, procurement oversight, compliance, and internal controls.

This position will be based primarily at our office in Thimphu, with occasional visits to the lodge in Gangtey as needed. You will work closely with the Owners, the General Manager, and the department heads to ensure our financial systems and decisions support the lodge's goals and values.

We are looking for more than a numbers expert - this role calls for someone who can mentor a young team, implement systems that promote transparency and accountability, and collaborate across departments. A strong ethical compass, attention to detail, and alignment with our values are essential for supporting both operational excellence and the wider mission of Gangtey Lodge.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 5-10 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting roles, including atleast 3 years in a leadership capacity
• Experience in hospitality or service industries preferred
• Strong knowledge of accounting systems, especially cloud-based platforms such as Xero, is an advantage
• Proficiency in MS Excel and financial reporting tools
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to mentorjunior team members and build a capable finance team
• High standards of integrity and professional ethics
• Attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to work to deadlines
• Fluency in English and Dzongkha (spoken and written)
• This position is open only to Bhutanese nationals
