The Department of Tourism under the Ministry of industry, Commerce & Employment (MOICE) would like to notify the following changes in view of the restructuring of the government Ministries and agencies and transfer of the mandates:

The Department of Tourism under the Ministry of industry, Commerce & Employment (MOICE) would like to notify the following changes in view of the restructuring of the government Ministries and agencies and transfer of the mandates:
 
1. Applications for visa and permits for tourists shall be through the link www.visit.doi.gov.bt. The old visa system of the Department of Tourism will no longer be used to process visas and permits.
 
2. The mandate of reviewing architectural drawings for 3 star hotels and
above, in order to issue technical clearance for hotels intended to cater to tourists, has been transferred to Ministry of infrastructure and Transport
(MOIT).
Henceforth, the Department of Tourism will no longer be able to issue the technical clearance letter.
 
Please take note of the above changes to avail the services.
