DHI and Shin Nippon Biomedical Laboratories Limited (SNBL), Japan, have established a FDI joint venture company, Koufuku International Limited (KIL) in Trashigang as a dairy processing plant in Bhutan. The objective is to commercialize the operation of the dairy processing unit on a long term sustainable model. The project will provide farmers with a reliable and convenient outlet for their dairy produce thereby improving their quality of life. The company has a paid up capital of Nu. 50 million and a total asset of Nu. 90 m. The Company has commenced commercial operations starting 2014.
