SDA/DC19TF-02/2021-2022/1182                                                                     10th Sept 2021

NOTIFICATION

This is to notify the general public that we have received overwhelming support and cooperation in containing community transmission of COVID-19. However, it has come to our notice that the movement of people and vehicles in and out of Samtse is worrying. According to CPMS data, 596 vehicles and 1570 people traveled in and out of Samtse on 4th and 5th September 2021 respectively (Saturday & Sunday). The movement records also show that the movements are non-essential and non-emergency. We achieved zero community case of COVID-19 for the last three weeks with collective support and responsibility. However, the consequences of complacency and carelessness will only waste our combined sacrifice and effort.

Considering the above concern, the DC19TF would like to inform the Regional Offices, Autonomous Institutions, Corporations, Industries, Business entities, Armed Forces, Monastic Bodies, Gewogs, Drungkhags and Sector Heads of Dzongkhag Administration to ensure that all the staffs, workers, families seek proper approval from the respective head of agencies for any station leave to regulate and monitor needless travels while moving out of their work stations especially during the weekends unless proven emergency.

As always, the DC19TF would like to sincerely appreciate the continued support and cooperation rendered by the general public of Samtse and all the agencies.

We would like to urge the general public to strictly comply with all COVID-19 health safety protocols and continue to use face mask, avoid crowding, maintain physical distancing and good practice hand washing at all times.
