We are delighted to share the climate change monitoring weather data of 14 schools in Bhutan, covering different altitudinal gradient and geographic region, for the years 2015-2020. Weather data variable includes temperature, precipitation, solar radiation, soil moisture, wind speed and wind direction, which are collected every 10 minutes. As a part of climate change monitoring program on biodiversity particularly plants and animals life cycle, the Institute initiated HEROES (Himalayan Rhythms Observation and Evaluation System) program in collaboration with Karuna Foundation, Bhutan Foundation and Schools across the country.

The dataset is now incorporated at the Regional Database System (RDS) of International Center for Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD). It is available for public use which we hope will help to contribute in understanding the impact of climate change in Bhutan.
