Dasho Dzongdag along with the Dzongkhag Education Officers graced the prestigious golden youth award ceremony held in Tendruk Central school yesterday.

Unlike previous years, the Golden Youth Camp was held virtually this year, in which hundreds of talented youths across the country competed in various fields, such as literary activities, general knowledge and IQ test.

According to the gyabhutanyouth.org, Golden Youth Award (GYA) is a platform created to inspire and motivate the youth to excel holistically, becoming role model for their peers and community. It is a rigorous selection process involving Three key stages of screening, until they get finally to the fierce national competition. The president of YDF, Her Majesty the Gyalyum Ashi Tseyring Pem Wangchuk is the founder of GYA.

Mr. Sabin Limbu, currently studying in class 11 won the award and soon he will leave for Thailand to study as a part of this award. On his thanking note, he said “I would like to offer my immense gratitude to Her Majesty the Gyalyum for instituting such platform without which my story and stories of many youths are not possible. I consider myself very fortunate for getting this opportunity to participate in this camp. While I am extremely happy for myself to win this award, I am happier that the award will bring fame to my school. I want to extend my deepest gratitude to my teachers who made this possible and my friends and parents for their trust, wishes and prayers”.

The Samtse Dzongkhag Administration would like to congratulate him for winning the award.
