Project Implementation & Monitoring — Execute and track infrastructure projects from ground level, ensuring they conform to approved designs, drawings, standards, and specifications
Feasibility & Surveys — Conduct feasibility studies, field surveys, and subsoil investigations where capacity allows
Design & Estimation — Prepare plans, technical drawings, and detailed cost estimates for engineering works
Tendering & Contracts — Participate in preparing and evaluating tender documents, evaluate bids and technical proposals, and assist in contract administration
Site Oversight — Conduct laboratory material testing and ensure quality compliance on-site
Reporting & Records — Maintain accurate project progress records and submit timely progress reports
Budget Support — Provide engineering data and cost estimates for organizational budgeting
Environmental Compliance — Assist the Chief Engineer in preparing Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs)
Coordination — Liaise with RoID/MoIT for project planning and design needs as required
What we are looking for? Technical Competencies
Civil engineering knowledge (design, estimation, surveying, material testing)
Proficiency in technical drawing and cost estimation
Understanding of construction standards, specifications, and quality control
Familiarity with tender and contract management processes
Basic knowledge of EIA processes

Accountability — Owns project outcomes and ensures compliance to approved plans
Attention to Detail — Accurate record-keeping and reporting are explicitly required
Integrity — Works within regulatory and technical frameworks without shortcuts

Initiative — Expected to carry out investigations and studies independently where capacity allows
