Caregivers

Overall Role:
Provide daily care and support to elderly clients in their homes/communities, focusing on dignity, safety, and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

Personal Care

Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs): bathing, dressing, feeding, toileting, mobility.
Support with medication reminders as instructed by nurse/health assistant.
Ensure cleanliness and hygiene of client and immediate environment.

Emotional & Social Support

Provide companionship and psychosocial support.
Encourage participation in light physical and social activities.
Report changes in mood, appetite, or behavior.

Household Support

Assist with simple household tasks related to elder care (meal prep, laundry, bed making).
Promote safe home environment (reduce fall risks, proper ventilation, etc.).

Coordination & Communication

Communicate daily observations to nurse/health assistant.
Participate in regular training and refresher courses.
Adhere to confidentiality and ethical standards in client care.

Qualifications & Skills:

Minimum literacy preferred (to maintain simple records).
Compassion, patience, and willingness to be trained.
Ability to work in households and respect cultural sensitivities.

1) retirees below the age of 65 years are welcome for Programme Coordinator and Nurse/Health Assistant posts.

3) The duration of appointment will be 2 years initially.
