Royal Society for Senior Citizens is pleased to announce the vacancy for the following posts:

1. Program Coordinator: 1
(1) Retiree below the age of 65 years.
(2) Duration 2 Years.

ToRs of Programme Coordinator

A home/community based long term care pilot for the elderly involving voluntary/ paid caregivers with institutional tie up with govt health services, nursing colleges and medical university is to be operationalised. One programme coordinator, one health assistant or nurse and two care givers, whom we will train, will be recruited with the following respective ToRs.

Programme Coordinator

Overall Role:
Lead, manage, and coordinate the pilot program for community/home-based long-term care for elderly. Serve as the primary link between caregivers, health institutions, government services, stakeholders and the community.

Key Responsibilities:

Planning & Management

Develop and implement the pilot’s work plan, schedules, and activities.
Coordinate with elderly care program of Ministry of Health, relevant Jigme Dorji Wangchuk National Referral Hospital departments, Thromde health facilities, private diagnostics, nursing colleges, Khesar Gyalpo University of Medical Sciences, stakeholders, volunteers/volunteer organisations and the communityy.
Ensure compliance with programme objectives and reporting requirements.

Supervision & Support

Supervise the health assistant/nurse and caregivers.
Organize and oversee training sessions and ongoing capacity-building.
Provide supportive supervision and resolve operational issues.

Monitoring & Reporting

Maintain programme records, beneficiary data, and progress reports.
Monitor quality of care and adherence to standards.
Document lessons learned and recommend improvements.

Community & Institutional Engagement

Act as the focal point for families, community leaders, and institutional partners.
Facilitate awareness sessions for community on elder care.
Build linkages with social services, CSOs, and government support schemes.

Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Nursing, or Social Work.
3–5 years’ experience in health programme/project management.
Strong coordination, communication, and leadership skills.
Familiarity with elderly care, long-term care, or community health.
