Backend Developer

The Backend Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the server-side logic of web and mobile applications. This includes building and integrating APIs, managing databases, ensuring data security, optimizing performance, and implementing authentication systems. They will collaborate closely with frontend developers and DevOps teams to deliver scalable, reliable, and secure backend systems, while maintaining clean code, thorough documentation, and adhering to best practices in software development.

The detailed roles and responsibilities are as follows:

1. API & Application Development

Design, develop, and maintain secure and scalable APIs using FastAPI and Java.

• Write clean, modular, and maintainable code in Python and Java frameworks.

• Build and optimize backend systems tailored for financial applications, ensuring compliance with industry standards.

• Conduct unit, integration, and load testing to guarantee performance under heavy traffic.

• Participate in code reviews, maintaining high-quality coding practices.

2. Database Design & Performance

Design, implement, and maintain relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL).

• Perform schema design, SQL scripting, and database migrations.

• Optimize queries, indexing, caching, and queuing strategies for maximum efficiency.

• Use ORM frameworks (SQLAlchemy, Hibernate) for streamlined data management.

• Continuously monitor and tune database performance.

3. Security & Compliance

Implement robust authentication and authorization mechanisms (OAuth, JWT).

• Ensure data integrity, encryption, and secure transaction processing.

• Apply security best practices for APIs, databases, and backend systems.

• Build systems that align with regulatory and financial industry compliance standards.

4. Deployment & Operations

Deploy and manage backend services using Docker for containerization.

• Orchestrate and scale services with Kubernetes.

• Collaborate with DevOps teams to set up CI/CD pipelines and automate deployments.

• Conduct system monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance benchmarking.

5. Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
