The Dean’s Office, Faculty of Postgraduate Medicine (FoPGM), Khesar Gyalpo University of Medical Sciences of Bhutan (KGUMSB) is pleased to announce the opening of applications for the one-year internship program at Jigme Dorji Wangchuck National Referral Hospital (JDWNRH).

1. Eligibility
   Candidates who have successfully completed their final MBBS examination from colleges/institutes recognized by:

• The Medical and Health Professionals Council (MHPC)
• The Bhutan Qualifications and Professionals Certification Authority (BQPCA) under the Ministry of Education and Skills Development (MoESD)

1. Application Process
   Interested candidates must submit their applications along with the required documents via the Intern Portal: www.fopgm.edu.bt/intern/registration on or before October 25, 2025.

• The list of selected candidates will be announced on October 28, 2025 (please visit the FoPGM website).
• Applications submitted after the deadline will not be accepted.

1. Documents Required

• Copy of MBBS transcript/marksheet
• Copy of Class X and XII transcripts/marksheets
• No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the parent institute
• Copy of Citizenship Identity Card
• Forwarding letter from the Royal Civil Service Commission (RCSC)
• Duly filled Internship Application Form

1. Application Fee
   An application fee of Nu. 1,000/- (non-refundable) shall be levied as per the approved fee structure of the University.

• The fee must be deposited into the University’s BoB account number: 100891694.
• A screenshot/receipt of the payment should be uploaded along with the documents via the online portal to complete the application process.

1. Requirements for Selected Candidates

• Candidates selected for the program shall pay an internship course fee of Nu. 10,000/-.
• Candidates must attend a mandatory 13-day orientation program (including Essential Life Support training and 3 days of Basic Orientation) prior to departmental postings at JDWNRH.
• Failure to attend the orientation program will result in cancellation of the internship placement.
• The orientation program will commence from November 12, 2025 and will continue for 13 days.
