The Electricity Regulatory Authority (ERA) is pleased to announce the following vacancies for immediate recruitment on a regular basis.

1. Interested Bhutanese candidates with minimum of 18 years of age and maximum of 45 years of age who meet the above criteria may submit following documents to the Assistant Human Resource Officer (AHRO) in hard copy latest by August 18, 2023 before 5:00PM:
   1. Duly filled up ERA’s Job application form (http://www.bea.gov.bt/form) with recent passport-sized photograph;
   2. Resume;
   3. Copy of academic transcripts;
   4. Copy of citizenship identity card (valid);
   5. Copy of medical certificates (valid);
   6. Copy of security clearance (valid); and
   7. Copy of relevant training transcripts.
2. Candidate shall apply for one post only.
3. Incomplete application or non-submission of any required documents (a to g) shall be considered as disqualified without further notice.
4. Applicant must check the announcement of shortlisted applicants on the Electricity Regulatory Authority’s (ERA) website (bea.gov.bt) for the Written Test.
5. All shortlisted applicants for the Written Test are required to bring the original citizenship identity card. The date of Written Test will be announced on or before August 23, 2023 on the ERA website and will not be contacted individually.
6. The shortlisted applicants for the Interview will be announced and contacted individually.

1.      TOR FOR LICENSING ENGINEER (CIVIL)

1. Assist in the processing of license applications for activities related to construction, operation and maintenance of generation, transmission and distribution facilities, system operation and sale of electricity;

1. Assist in conducting research and recommend for amendment of license, regulations, standards, codes, principles, and procedures for activities related to construction, operation and maintenance of generation, transmission and distribution facilities, system operation, and sale of electricity;

• Assist in processing requests from licensees for amendments of license as well as implement the amendment and revocation of license in accordance with decisions of the Authority;

1. Assist in the processing of permit to survey for carrying out assessments, studies, and any other activity that may be necessary for the preparation of license application;

1. Assist in preparation of operational plans and targets of the Division;

1. Assist in planning and coordination of the activities of Division with other divisions for the smooth operation of ERA’s set targets; and

• Assist in the development of strategies for implementation of the operational plans and target of the Division.

2.      TOR FOR LICENING ENGINEER (ELECTRICAL)

1. Assist in developing technical regulations, standards, codes, principles, and safety requirements for activities related to construction, operation and maintenance of generation, transmission and distribution facilities, supply and sale of electricity;

1. Assist in develop regulations related to power system operation for ensuring power reliability, power quality, and efficiency of electricity supply;

• Setting standards related to reliability, quality, and efficiency of electricity supply services;

1. Conduct research for amendment of regulations, standards, codes, principles and procedures related to construction, operation and maintenance of generation, transmission and distribution facilities, system operation, supply and sale of electricity;

1. Assist in preparation of operational plans and targets of the Division;

1. Assist in planning and coordination of the activities of Division with other divisions for the smooth operation of ERA’s set targets; and

• Assist in the development of strategies for implementation of the operational plans and target of the Division.
