The Ministry is pleased to announce the availability of the following funded skilling training programs at Jigme Jigme Wangchuck Power Training Institute - JWPTI, Dekiling, Sarpang:

As a part of the Skills Development Program, the Ministry is pleased to announce the availability of the following funded skilling training programs at Jigme Jigme Wangchuck Power Training Institute - JWPTI, Dekiling, Sarpang:
1. Course: DTP Masonry (NC-II)
Slots: 30
Course duration: 24 months
Qualification: Class X and above
2. Course: Domestic House Wiring (NC-II)
Slots: 20
Course duration: 6 months
Qualification: Class X and above
3. Course: Plumbing (NC-II)
Slots: 20
Course duration: 12.4 months
Qualification: Class X and above
4. Course: Transmission & Distribution Lineman (NC-II)
Slots: 20
Course duration: 9 months
Qualification: Class XII passed
5. Course: Mechanical Welding NC-II
Slots: 20
Course duration: 9 months
Qualification: Class X
6. Course: PV Solar (IC)
Slots: 20
Course duration: 3 months
Qualification: NC-II Electrical
7. Course: Upholstery (IC)
Slots: 20
Course duration: 4.5 months
Qualification: Class X and Above
8. Course: Landscape design
Slots: 20
Course duration: 3 months
Qualification: Class X completed
Only interested registered jobseeker/youths, laid-off employees can apply using the link given above. The last date of application is 31 July 2023.
The training shall commence on 7 August 2023.
In addition, upon completion of the course, all individuals are required to attend 2 weeks Basic Entrepreneurship Course.
The selected applicants shall be notified within 2 working days from the last date of application via phone/email. The selection shall be based basis on merit basis and upon fulfilling the criteria specified above.
Accommodation and a stipend of Nu.3500 per month will be provided for the entire duration of the course.
