Members of the National Assembly led by the Speaker and Leader of the Opposition Party attended the ongoing Moenlam Chhenmo organized by Thimphu Dzongkhag at Kuensel Phodrang.

The recitation was on the Zangpo Chod Pei Moenlam - The Aspiration Prayers of Excellent Conduct. Some reflection thoughts of the prayer lines are “with purity of body, speech and mind” be “flawless at all times and situations” and to “fully exemplify the excellent conduct …. turn the wheel of dharma skillfully” and “attain liberation in Buddha Amitabha’s  pure land”.

The fourth day of week-long Moenlam Chhenmo was presided over by Venerable Tshugla Lopen of the Zhung Dratshang. It concludes on the 4th of June coinciding with Lord Buddha’s Parinirvana.

His Holiness the Jekhenpo has instituted Moenlam Chenmo in all 20 Dzongkhags.
