Three New Dzongdags Appointed

His Majesty The King granted dhar to appoint the new Dzongdags of Haa, Lhuentse and Zhemgang Dzongkhags.

His Majesty The King granted dhar to appoint the new Dzongdags of Haa, Lhuentse and Zhemgang Dzongkhags along with the new Permanent Representative of Bhutan to the United Nations (New York) and Ambassador of Bhutan in Brussels on the auspicious day of February 08, 2023 coinciding with the 18th Day of the 12th Month of Water Male Tiger Year .

Melam Zangpo is the new Haa Dzongdag, who was serving as the Officiating Dzongdag of Haa. Prior to his assignment as the Officiating Dzongdag, he served in the Department of Local Governance under the then Ministry of Home and Cultural Affairs as Chief Program Officer. The new Lhuentse Dzongdag is Jigme Choden, who was serving as the Chief Integrity Officer at the Anti Corruption Commission.

Kezang Jigme is the new Dzongdag of Zhemgang Dzongkhag. He was serving as the Chief Planning Officer at the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Employment.

Meanwhile, Pema L. Dorji who was serving as the Director General at the Department of Immigration, Ministry of Home Affairs is the new Permanent Representative to the UN and Tshoki Choden who was the Director of Department of Bilateral Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and External Trade is the new Ambassador in Brussels.

New dasho dzongda of  Trongsa dzongkhag had visited our museum.  During the visit,  museum management presented  about 20 minutes presentation on museum role  in preserving, promoting  cultural heritage of Bhutan.
