As a part of the Skills Development Program, the Ministry of Education and Skills Development is pleased to announce the Ministry's fully funded Western Garment Tailoring program at TTI-Khuruthang, Punakha as detailed below:
Course: Tailoring
Slots: 30
Course Duration: 3 months
Commencement Date: 13 February 2023
Minimum Qualification: Class X
Only interested registered job seekers/youths, laid-offs can apply using the link given above.
The last date of application is 5 February 2023.
 
The course aims the youths to provide skills in Tailoring. At the end of the training, the participants will be competent in designing , cutting and stitching of tego, wonju, kira, sanja tego and gho.
In addition, after the completion of the course, all individuals are required to attend the Basic Entrepreneurship Course which will be conducted for 2 weeks.
 
The applicants shall be notified within 2 working days from the last date of application via phone/email. The selection shall be based on FIRST-COME-FIRST basis and upon fulfilling the criteria specified above. Your application will not be accepted if you do not submit the required document specified above.
 
Accommodation and stipend of Nu.3500 per month will be provided for the entire duration of the course.

Tailoring training completed at Punakha

Basic tailoring training completed at Punakha today. Namgay Tenzin, a recipient, is now able to sow various types of clothes, including tego, gho, kira, curtains, bags, and kuthang. Members of the neighborhood helped him by purchasing his goods. He now works as a tailor in the trainer’s shop.
