The Royal Civil Service Commission is pleased to announce the availability of scholarships at the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, India for the year 2022. The scholarship is fully funded by the Government of India which is available to three promising Bhutanese engineers to pursue M. Tech programs this year as well.

Kindly note that the scholarship is provided by the GoI and all scholarship entitlements are confined to those offered by them. Therefore, no additional financial benefits from the RCSC/RGoB shall be admissible to candidates under these scholarships.

Eligibility Criteria

• In addition to the eligibility requirement of the donor/institute, civil servants applying for the course must fulfill all relevant criteria prescribed in BCSR 2018 and should ensure that the area is in line with the Competency-Based Framework ;
• Interested candidates must seek clearance from the RCSC before applying to ensure there is no issue when processing for study leave in case the applicant gets the scholarship.

Application Procedure

1. The interested applicants will have to fill up the application form (PDF format) for the program using the link

2. The candidates will have to submit a copy of the application to hrdd@rcsc.gov.bt , thimphu@mea.gov.in , and tshewangdema@mfa.gov.bt  for onward submission.
3. Please note that there is no need for applicants to submit application fees through demand draft /fees as stated in the form as the same has been exempted for Bhutanese nationals in the context of an award of the India Bhutan Friendship Scholarship to three best Bhutanese candidates who are accepted/admitted into M Tech Programmes by IIT Kanpur every year.
