The Gyalsung is envisioned as a one-year integrated training program mandatory for all youths attaining the age of 18 and if in school – upon completion of grade twelve. GYALSUNG INFRA has been established as a separate organization to carry out design works and build infrastructure for the five academies as greenfield projects. Gyalsung Infra currently executes infrastructure development works at 5 (Five) NS centers Viz. Jamtsholing (Samtse), Tareythang (Sarpang), Pemathang (Samdrup Jongkhar) Khotokha (Wangdueprodrang) and Bondeyma (Monggar). Each center will accommodate about 2,600 trainees, 300 NCOs and 32 officers. The main infrastructures of all the academies are expected to complete simultaneously by end on 2021.
